Crinum-Gregory Overland
This project required a 10km long overland conveyor system to enable coal from
an existing underground mine site at Crinum to be economically transported into
the existing wash plant at the Gregory mine.
The design of this system used light-weight modular conveyors that incorporated
3 short radius horizontal curves, eliminating the need for transfer stations and
enabling the most direct route to be adopted from stockpile to wash plant.
IBS was engaged to provide:
- Engineering design
- Construction of modular conveyor sections
- Installation supervision
- Commissioning
Equipment included:
- 1 x 10km modular conveyors
- 1 x Drive system (4 x 355kW drives; 3 at head & 1 at tail section)
